Privacy Policy

✦ Short version: T-Minus AI collects no personal data, no analytics, and no tracking. Your events stay on your device and in your personal iCloud account.

Your privacy is fundamental to how we built T-Minus AI. This policy explains what information the App uses and how it is handled.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

T-Minus AI does not collect, store, or transmit:

Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
Usage analytics or behavioral data
Crash reports sent to our servers
Advertising identifiers
Location data
Contact information

2. Data Stored on Your Device

All your countdown events, notes, photos, and preferences are stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults and the App Group container shared between the main app and widgets. This data never leaves your device except through your personal iCloud account (see Section 3).

3. iCloud Sync

If you use iCloud, your event data is synced across your devices via Apple's iCloud Key-Value Store. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your iCloud data at any time.

4. AI Features

T-Minus AI uses GPT-4o-mini via a secure Cloudflare Worker proxy to generate event insights and milestones. When you request AI-generated content, the following minimal data is sent:

Event title, category, and days remaining
No personally identifiable information is included
Requests are not stored or logged on our servers
Your OpenAI API key is fetched once and stored securely in your device's iOS Keychain — it is never transmitted in plain text

5. Photos

If you add a cover photo to an event, it is stored locally on your device within the App's data container. Photos are never uploaded to any server.

6. Widgets

Widgets display your countdown data using the App Group shared storage on your device. No data is transmitted externally to render widgets.

7. Push Notifications

Notifications are scheduled locally on your device using iOS's local notification system (UNUserNotificationCenter). No push notification server is used. Notification content is never transmitted off your device.

8. In-App Purchases

The Pro upgrade is processed entirely by Apple's StoreKit 2. We do not collect or store any payment information. Purchase verification is handled on-device.

9. Children's Privacy

T-Minus AI does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The App does not target children and contains no features designed to collect data from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Data Collection

When you choose to use AI features, T-Minus sends the event text and related countdown details you provide to OpenAI to generate event parsing, milestones, and insights. This processing is optional and is used only to provide the requested feature. OpenAI API data is not used to train OpenAI models by default, but may be retained for abuse-monitoring purposes for up to 30 days. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising or tracking.
